直到今天我还记得自己高中的时候去学校旁的音像店找《闻香识女人》这部片子，找不到，问店员，结果店员非常鄙视地看了我一眼，回答：“我们这里不卖这种片子。”
我选择不和对方解释，这部片子是一部正当的片子，而是选择了去别的地方买。
就如这部电影一样，有人看完后没有感觉，也有人贬之，我从来不在乎这一点——一千个读者就有一千个哈姆雷特，电影不也是这样么？
片子讲的是两个看似完全不相干的人：贫困而正直的学生Charlie, 曾经光鲜而堕落的退役中校Frank。两个人都很寂寞，不知道怎么与周围的环境融合——查理没办法融入富同学们的圈子，Frank甚至不知道怎么去爱周围的亲人，以至于连哥哥的家人都会恶毒地骂他asshole
查理年轻，所以遇事不成熟，容易退缩，不敢还击也不敢正视生活的苦难；Frank又老又瞎，历经沧桑，阅尽世事，却不敢直面自己的挫败，进而希望放弃自己了无生趣的生命。

2、开头frank脾气很暴躁，外甥女在窗外敲着窗和他打招呼，他大叫“滚开！”。片尾，查理目送frank回家，frank慢慢走到骑着儿童自行车地孙女面前，问：“可以搭一程不？别气了我们重归于好吧！”远景头里，查理也笑了。
美国人怕老，老了就没用了，老了不懂得和亲人相处就更寂寞和没用了。其实所有人都一样。你总是怕自己没用了，怕久了你就真的以为自己没用了。这部片子的主角我认为是frank而不是查理——查理年轻而正直的生命其实一直活在frank的心中，所以他能拯救frank。
举着枪要自杀的frank问查理：“告诉我一个活下去的理由。”查理对着他那双空洞的眼睛，紧张地说：“你能跳那么美的tango，开法拉利也开得很好！”
这就够了。多好的理由。
