信息技术的强大所导致的便是人类开始担心被取代，科幻电影中涉及人工智能产生独立思维的题材也屡见不鲜。在这些影片中，人工智能凭借“不会犯错”和“没有感知疼痛的能力”而占据绝对的上风，故然影视作品最后的结局总是美好的，人类取得了胜利，但也不由得使人们思考起“被取代”这一问题了。
所谓“我思故我存”，人类不断开发出人工智能而暂未被取代的真正原因，我认为正是在于人类具有独立思考的能力和对生活便利性的追求，是“人”的思维扬决定的，而人工智能相较于人类而言，就显得“麻木不仁”了。构成人工智能究其本源无非一串串的编码，人工智能只是根据编码来行动，而编码的决定权始终在人类手上。或许这就是库克“不担心计算机像人类一样思考”的理由。
那么真正值得担心的是什么呢？是人类因过度依赖计算机而导致失去了自我判断和学习的能力，从而放弃了思考。同时，人工智能是不存在感情认知的，当人类的思维被编码固化之后，其价值观和同情心便会消失殆尽。
最为直观的例子在于，越来越多的人使用电子设备进行社交之后，面对面谈话的能力直线下降。写字时也因惯于拼音输入而忘记原本看来很简单的字形。此外，人的.判断能力亦有下降的趋势，因为计算机的编码只有“1与0”，正确与错误。在快节奏的生活中，人们也开始和计算机一样给看到的事物下定义，第一眼看觉得是错便大声宣扬其错误性并加以鄙夷，觉得对就高调传播“正能量”，却理所当然的无视了对与错的辩证关系，这是价值观的缺失。当面对网络上发起的捐助时，一部分人咬死不信，一部分人对打着道德旗号盲目跟风捐赠，两者都是典型的“计算机思考方式”。
学而不思则罔，学是人与计算机都能做到的，思却是独属人类的特性。因而如果人类将“思”都与计算机同化，那么终有一天人类的大脑跟不上计算机的更新，从而失去本心，这才是电影所表现出来的事件的根本原因。并非人工智能有统治人类的智慧，而是人类放弃了存在的本质“思”而甘于被统治。
