世界名人爱因斯坦解释相对论的故事
爱因斯坦创立了相对论，其意义极为巨大，但却没有多少人弄得懂。他自认为当时真正了解相对论的只有12个人。
为了解释他的相对论，爱因斯坦曾作了许多有趣的`解说。一位妇女曾问他：“你是否真的相信你的相对论是真的?”爱因斯坦回答道：“我当然相信，但要等我百年之后了。”妇人问：“那又会怎样呢?”他幽默地答道：“那时，如果我不错，德国人就会说我是德国人，法国人会说我是犹太人;如果我错了，德国人就会说我是犹太人，法国人就会说我是德国人。而这样一来，他们便在使用我的相对论了。”
有一次，一位中年男子请求爱因斯坦解释他那闻名于世的相对论。爱因斯坦很诚恳地用数学为这个人解释，但不幸这人不懂数学，于是爱因斯坦只好换一种方式，用极浅显的语言来说明相对论，但这人仍然不懂。最后，爱因斯坦问那人是不是有丈母娘，那人回答说：“有。”于是，这位天才科学家便很高兴的说：“那就成了。假使你刚度过两个星期的蜜月，到第三个星期你的丈母娘来了，在你那儿住了两个星期。这前后两个星期的时间虽然一样，而你的感觉却大不相同，这便是相对论。”
一位科学家去拜访爱因斯坦，当访客走进他的研究室时，爱因斯坦正匍匐于地，似乎正有所举动。这位科学家以为他正在检验相对论的原理，于是不惊动他，只留神地观看，那知爱因斯坦匍匐了一会儿，忽然向来客说道：“先生，你能帮助我吗?我的一张钞票丢了!”
爱因斯坦在普林斯顿大学讲课时，正值暑假放假前夕，一个学生问他最近有无新发现的学理，他被逼不过，只好说道：“我有一个发现，西点之间最短的距离是指暑假的开端到暑假的终点，请诸位善用暑假。”此话一出，全体同学哄堂大笑。
